Flam White Label Red 2021

This new Red Blend (Syrah from both the Galilee and Judean Hills, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot) This offering from Flam finally made it to America.  The first vintage (2020) was Israel only.  This is one of the best wines we have tasted all year.  Reminded me of Hundred Acre.  Hands down the best Cab blend under $100.

In the glass, deep ruby with a pronounced nose of  black cherry, blackberry, black plum, baked cherry, vanilla, cedar, chocolate.  The palate shows fresh jammy red and black fruits, spice and cedar. Dry, high acid, medium tannins, high alcohol, full body, creamy.  Incredibly balanced for a young wine.

An exceptional wine that you can drink now but there is a potential for aging.   My first sip was very good, however with an hour decant the fruit exploded out of the glass. The fruit is generous but balanced and fresh.  The finish lasted over a minute!  The ABV on this wine is a high 15% but the alcohol is not overbearing.  Great new offering from Flam.
